You may use as many fields as you wish in your search. When the results appear, click on the appropriate institution. The system will automatically populate the Code, Name, and Location in your application.

DO NOT SEARCH using the words University, College, Mt (or Mount), St (or Saint), CC or Community College. The institution's name may have been abbreviated.

When using the State/Province field, type the entire name of the state rather than the two-character abbreviation (e.g. Maryland instead of MD).

If you do not locate your institution in the list after searching, please try again by entering either only the country or state of your school and scroll through the results. If you are completely certain your school's name does not appear please do the following:

If the school is located in the United States: Type UNKNOWN into the School Name field and enter your state name. Click the Search button again.

Click on the entry with your state name followed by Unknown (e.g. Maryland Unknown). On the application, replace the school name with your institution's name and type in the city and country in which the school is located.

If the school is located outside of the United States: Type UNKNOWN into the School Name field and enter the country in which the institution is located. Click the Search button again.

Click on the entry with your country followed by Unknown (e.g. China Unknown). On the application, replace the school name with your institution's name and type in the city and if applicable, state/province in which the school is located.
